89 of Little Rock, passed peacefully into God’s loving presence on Monday, February 17, 2020.

She was born in San Antonio, Texas on April 22, 1930. After graduation from Little Rock Central High School, she worked as a secretary. She was married on May 11, 1951 to Carl Louis Brunck and both enjoyed 58 years of married life. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmothe­r and friend to so many during her life.

She was preceded in death by her husband Carl Louis Brunck; her parents Edna Keene Cox and Horace Cox; her sister, Pat McClain and son, Carl Louis Brunck Jr.

She is survived by daughter Lisa Maher of Eureka Springs and son Philip Brunck of Ft. Smith, and sister-in-law Carol Core (Mac) of Little Rock. She enjoyed her four grandchild­ren Gretchen Fleisher, Betsy Norman, Andrew Brunck and Hannah Hayes and is blessed with six great-grandchild­ren, Joseph, Ava, Jesse, Aubrianna, Esme and Pax.

She truly enjoyed her life full of family and friends from all walks of life. She was blessed with energy to pursue her creative endeavors which were varied and many.

She was a self taught artist and enjoyed interior decoration and varied needlework among so many other outlets for her artistic gifts. She enjoyed collecting antiques and had a fascinatio­n for miniatures. She created dollhouses and a collection of Christmas trees in particular for this passion. She also loved to travel to places she had dreamed about going as a child. Monte and Carl enjoyed numerous trips to New England and later to Europe.

She left her loving and caring essence to so many in her life and will be remembered with a warm heart. She enjoyed longtime relationsh­ips as a member of First Lutheran Church and is cherished by many there. Her Ray Of Light will forever burn bright.

A visitation will be held to celebrate her colorful life on Saturday, February 29, 2020 from 2-4 p.m. at Ruebel Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her honor to the Alzheimer’s Associatio­n or First Lutheran Church.
