EDGEMONT — Mrs. Mildred LaFerne (Warman) Morehart,

88, formerly of Harrisburg from 1957-1993, moved to Edgemont on Greers Ferry Lake full time until April 2013, and then moved to Jonesboro to be near her daughter.

Mildred departed this life Tuesday, February 18, 2020, at St. Bernard Medical Center in Jonesboro. She was born August 3, 1931, in Conway, Arkansas, the daughter of Hutto and Hessie (Roach) Warman. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Glenn Morehart, two sons: James and Larry Morehart, and one brother, Dan Warman. Mildred graduated from Mabelvale High School. She retired from the Department of Human Services in 1993. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, being on Greers Ferry Lake with her friends and family, and spending time with her grandchild­ren and great-grandchild­ren.

Mildred is survived by one daughter, Sandra and husband Gary Spears of Harrisburg, one daughter-in-law, Donna Morehart of Newport, two grandchild­ren: Kara Parker of Centerton and Matthew Morehart of Fayettevil­le, three great-grandchild­ren: Landyn Morehart, Luke Parker, and Zoey Parker, one brother, Curt and wife Wanda Warman of Mount Ida.

Graveside Services will be held Friday, February 21, at 1 p.m. at Martin Cemetery in Little Rock/ Mableville. Bro. Dan Brand will conduct the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bread of Life Food Pantry c/o First United Methodist Church, 204 S. Main Street, Harrisburg, Arkansas 72432 or the charity of your choice. Arrangemen­ts are by Jackson’s Harrisburg Funeral Home.
