was born January 19, 1924, at Brownsvill­e, Arkansas, and 96 years, 1 month later he passed from this life at his home on February 19, 2020.

He is survived by his wife of 73 years, 3 months, and 2 days Pauline Hearst Brownfield, two daughters Sue Glover (Jim) of Heber Springs and Glenda Kay Carter (Rickey) of Sulphur Rock; two granddaugh­ters: Sandie Wildmon (Sampson) and Amanda Callens both of Heber Springs; and two grandsons, Bradley Carter (Belinda) of Fayettevil­le, Arkansas, and Brent Carter (Amanda) of Spring, Texas. Chester is survived by seven great-grandchild­ren: Freelin, Faith, and Felicia Wildmon and Keira Jennings of Heber Springs; Bailey and Bryce Carter of Fayettevil­le, Arkansas, and Addison Carter of Spring, Texas. Chester is also survived by a host of relatives and friends. He is a member of Brownsvill­e Baptist Church, serving as a deacon for many years.

Visitation will be held at 12:30 p.m. at the Brownsvill­e Baptist Church with funeral services beginning at 2:00 with interment following in the Brownsvill­e Cemetery. Pallbearer­s are J.C. Hearst, J.L. Stone, Jerry Towell, Walter Murphree, Randy Verser, and Ernie Murphree. Homer Branscum, Jeff Feil, and Jim Glover will officiate.
