HOT SPRINGS — Josephine Rose Burrowes Campbell,

age 89, of Hot Springs, passed away, Saturday, February 15, 2020.

She was born on March 14, 1930, in Memphis, Tenn., the daughter of Fred Richard Burrowes and Louise Gertrude Rinn Burrowes. At the age of 16, Josephine started dating Richard Campbell, Sr. and on February 23, 1952, they were happily married. She was preceded in death by her son, Richard Campbell, Jr. Josephine was an active member of All Saints Catholic Church in Mount Ida and was a long-time member of The Cathedral of St. Andrew in Little Rock. She was a loving mother and fantastic homemaker; her family was her number one priority. Josephine enjoyed bird watching, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends on their houseboat, “The Seven C’s” on “HB Dock” at Mountain Harbor on Lake Ouachita.

She is survived by her husband, Richard Campbell, Sr. of Hot Springs; six children, Linda Campbell Reis (Bryan) of Hot Springs, Sharon Campbell Proctor (Randy) of Dallas, Texas, Gary Lee Campbell of Austin, Ark., Diane Rose Campbell of Mount Ida, Lisa Campbell Caspall (Jayme) of Tulsa, Okla., and Susan Campbell Elizandro (Jerry) of Mount Ida; six grandchild­ren; five great-grandchild­ren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, February 19, 2020, in the All Saints Catholic Church, Mount Ida, with Celebrant Father George Sanders, assisted by Father Joseph Shantiraj.

Interment will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Hot Springs, under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Hot Springs.

Visitation will be held from 6-7:30 p.m., with a Rosary following at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday evening, at the funeral home.
