89, of Little Rock passed away peacefully on the morning of February 22, 2020. Freda was born in Cushman, Arkansas, May 30th, 1930, to the late Nola and Clarence Campbell. Freda was predecease­d by her brother Edward Campbell.

Upon graduation from Cushman High School, she traveled by train from Batesville, Arkansas, through the scenic White River Valley of her childhood to Springfiel­d, Missouri, in order to attend business college. She began her working career in Monticello, Arkansas, with the U.S. Soil Conservati­on Service and later with the State Soil Conservati­on Service in Little Rock. This is where she met and later married her husband, Joe.

After raising her two children, she continued her working career with the Arkansas Livestock and Poultry Commission until retirement. She spent her retirement years in Little Rock and on Lake Hamilton. Freda was a beautiful, caring wife and wonderful mother and grandmothe­r that her family will sorely miss.

Freda is survived by her husband of 67 years, Joe H. Mott Sr., sister, Jo Dene Smith, children, Vicki M. Matthews (Hal) and Joe H. Mott Jr., and grandchild­ren, Callie Mott Matthews, Clare England Matthews, Rachel Renee Mott and Preston Thomas Mott.

A private family Memorial Service will be held at a future date to honor and celebrate her life. In lieu of flowers, please remember your local animal shelters or charity of your choice. Arrangemen­ts are under the direction of Ruebel Funeral Home, www.ruebelfune­ralhome.com.
