“Homecoming”

Season 2 of this drama/thriller series opens with a new mystery, that of Jackie (Janelle Monáe, “Hidden Figures”), who awakens in a rowboat in the middle of a lake with no memory of how she got there or even who she is. “Movie: Trial by Fire”

Edward Zwick (“Traffic,” “Shakespear­e in Love”) directed this 2018 biographic­al drama that tells the true, tragic story of Cameron Todd Willingham (Jack O’Connell, “Unbroken”), who was put to death for killing his three children after evidence and testimony that would have exonerated him were suppressed. Laura Dern, Emily Meade (“The Deuce”) and Chris Coy (“The Front Runner”) also star.

“Movie: The Lovebirds”

Kumail Nanjiani and Issa Rae star as a couple on the outs who experience a defining moment in their relationsh­ip when they’re unwittingl­y involved in a murder mystery in this action comedy from director Michael Showalter (“The Baxter,” “The Big Sick”).
