Building permit issued for school

The city of Little Rock’s weekly list of building permits includes a $4.7 million project for the new LISA Academy High School campus at 6711 W. Markham St.

The nature of the work is described as constructi­on of a structural link between the east and west wings of the school building, remodeling of interior spaces and the addition of a north parking lot area.

The job will not be built in phases but once constructi­on is started, it will continue until completed. Total constructi­on time is scheduled for 24 weeks.

Clark Contractor­s is the project contractor.

LISA Academy High School is moving from its present location to the space previously used by the now closed Little Rock Preparator­y Academy.
