BENTON — Waymon Edward Minor,

80, of Benton, passed away on June 9, 2020. He was born on March 27, 1940 to the late William H. and Hazel Petty Minor in DeValls Bluff, Arkansas. Waymon graduated from Stuttgart High School and Served in the United States navy from 1958 until 1964. He was retired from AT&T after 36 years.

Waymon was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Karen Minor, brother, Meredith “Mickey” Minor and sister, Emma Lou Minor Adams. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Linda Gosvenor Minor, daughter, Janet Holland of Benton, sisters, Mary Ann Weare of Santa Rosa, California, Carolyn Howell of Alexander and Patricia Arnett of Alexander, Arkansas; brother, William “Bill” Minor of Little Rock; grandchildren, Haley and Haden Holland of Benton, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Graveside services by Ashby Funeral Home will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Forest Hills Cemetery with Bro. Dennis Gulledge officiating. There will be an open visitation at Ashby Funeral Home on Friday. On line guestbook at www.ashbyfuneralhome.com.
