Rotary lauds Flake for years of service
Dickson Flake, a broker with Colliers International/ Arkansas, was honored with the 2020 Business and Professional Leader on June 2 by Rotary Club 99 of Little Rock.
The award was bestowed during a mostly electronic meeting of the club. A few members gathered at the University of Arkansas College of Business where Dean Jane Wayland and Rotarian Suzanne Peyton unveiled a plaque honoring Flake. Peyton led the committee that selected Flake for the award.
Flake addressed the club remotely, saying he feels “deep gratitude” for the honor and offered his assistance in helping the club with its endeavors. Rotary President Hank Kelley told the club there has “never been a person more deserving of the award.”
Flake has been involved in commercial real estate since 1965. He was the co-founder of Barnes, Quinn, Flake & Anderson in 1971, the predecessor firm of the Arkansas office of Colliers International.
During his career, Flake developed more than 2 million square feet of office space and four large parking structures for many major Arkansas companies.
