TICHNOR — Linda Kay Byers Wallace,

77, passed away June 6, 2020. She was born September 3, 1942 to Marcena Theis and Frank “Chick” Byers. Linda was a member of Unity Missionary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death her parents, her brother, Marcus Byers, and son-in-law, Marvin Riggs. Linda is survived by her husband of 59 years, Donald “Skinny” Wallace, three children Donna (Eddie) Best, Teena Riggs, and Penny (Marvin) Beaver, her sister Sheila Byers, five grandchildren Andrea (Jessie) Emerson, Becca (Johnathan) Powell, Kay (Kevin) Reynolds, Austin Riggs, and Kelsey (Nick) Bohannon, and three great-grandchildren, Ryan Beaver, and Aidan and AJ Emerson.

Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. June 10 at Unity Missionary Baptist Church. Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. with burial in Wallace Menard Cemetery by Essex Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Unity Missionary Baptist Church or the Wallace Menard Cemetery. www.essexfuneralhome.com.
