SEARCY — Jimmy L. Humphrey,

84, of Searcy, peacefully went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 30, 2020. He was born in Newport, Ark., on February 17, 1936, to Walter and Evalina Hubert Humphrey. He proudly served in the US Army, through which he completed a two-year tour in Germany. After 23 years and almost two million miles, Jimmy retired as a bus driver from Trailways Bus Line. He was a devoted member of Souls Harbor Church for over 20 years and most recently, he faithfully attended Pentecosta­l Church of God in Searcy. Jimmy was committed to mission work and always gave a helping hand to those in need. He was a supporter of St. Jude Hospital among other charities. His greatest joy was working in his yard, but his greatest love was his family.

Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Patsy Butler, of El Dorado; his brother, Wayne Gray, of Searcy; as well as two young sisters and a young brother.

Jimmy is survived by his sister, Pauline Pearrow, of Searcy; his nieces, Judy Browning (Judd) of Searcy; Becky Pearrow of Atlanta; Sandi Hildebrand (Benji) of Smackover; Donna Jenson of El Dorado; his nephews, Dean Pearrow of Searcy and Rick Butler (April) of Searcy; and five great-nieces, one great-nephew, three greatgreat-nieces, and one greatgreat-nephew.

Visitation will be held Monday, August 3, 2020, at 10 a.m., followed by a celebratio­n of life at 11 a.m., at Powell Funeral Home in Searcy.
