Miranda Kate Hickmon and Brighton Ray Redding exchanged marriage vows at 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 1, at Kindred Barn in Mulberry. The officiant was Ted Wenger of Redeemer Presbyteri­an Church of Siloam Springs.

The bride is the daughter of Sandra and Dr. Alex McLaren of Little Rock and Phoenix and Davena and Randy Hickmon of Sherwood. She is the granddaugh­ter of Janelle and Norvell Launius of Pine Bluff and Neda and Randy Hickmon of Mt. Vernon.

Lisa and Steve Redding of Richland Hills, Texas, are the parents of the groom. He is the grandson of Rita and Jimmy Redding of Richland Hills, the late Carol Napier Fralick and the late John Robert Napier Jr.

The ceremony site had a wooden arch draped with white chiffon and decorated with roses, amaranthus, hydrangeas, palm fronds and succulents in shades of dusty purple, sage and gold.

The bride, who walked down the aisle with her father, wore a white sleeveless fit-and-flare gown embellishe­d with lace appliques. The bodice had a sweetheart neckline and the layered tulle skirt extended to a chapel-length train. Her fingertip-length veil was edged with rhinestone­s. She carried a bouquet of white, cream and blush roses, gold amaranthus, white hydrangeas, white ranunculus and eucalyptus.

Matron of honor was Sara Vickers Nunez of Pensacola, Fla., cousin of the bride.

Bridesmaid­s were Candace Turner of Conway, Erin Miller of Cumming, Ga., and Cassey Shirley of Indianola, Okla. They wore Chianti-colored chiffon gowns and carried bouquet’s similar to the bride’s.

Flower girl and ringbearer were Blayke Nunez and Spencer Vickers of Pensacola, cousins of the bride.

Best man was Tanner Blessing of Weatherfor­d, Texas.

Groomsmen were the father of the groom and Jacob Frears and Collin Basinger, both of Fayettevil­le. Guests were seated by Timothy Nunez of Pensacola.

A reception was held after the ceremony, also at Kindred Barn. Round guest tables covered in white table cloths were centered with whitewashe­d lanterns with pillar candles and greenery on wood slices.

The bride graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in human environmen­tal sciences and with a master’s degree in community health promotion from the University of Arkansas, Fayettevil­le. She is a registered dietitian with KabaFusion.

The groom is also a UA graduate and has a bachelor’s degree in communicat­ion. He is a constructi­on superinten­dent with Rausch Coleman.

The couple will make their home in Gentry after a honeymoon in Montego Bay, Jamaica.
