83, passed away peacefully August 1, 2020. Diane was the oldest of two children born to Flynt and Rose Marie Leverett. She is preceded in death by her husband, Eldon, parents; brother Byron; half-brother, Flynt Jr.; and half-sister, Elaine.

Diane and Eldon married on June 20, 1959, and were married for over 60 years. They have two sons, Tom and Brett; grandchild­ren, Evans, Drew, Brooke, and Logan; great-grandchild­ren, Emery and Oliver.

Diane was born and lived her entire life in the central Arkansas area. She attended and graduated from both North Little Rock High School and Henderson

State University. She went on to have a long teaching career of over 30 years in the NLR Public School System where she prided herself in touching hundreds of young lives.

Diane, along with her husband, were long term members of Lakewood United Methodist Church, where she formed lifelong bonds and friendship­s. After Diane and Eldon retired, they spent the next 20 years traveling all over the world, which was their lifelong dream. Their love was being around children and grandchild­ren, treating them to nice family vacations at the beach. Diane also enjoyed her volunteer work at St. Vincent Infirmary, along with her book club, bridge club and bible study group.

The family would like to invite family and friends to a visitation from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Wednesday, August 12, 2020, at Smith-North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main Street, North Little Rock. A worship service celebratin­g Diane’s life will be held by Dr. Luke Conway and Dr. Harold Mitchell at Rest Hills Memorial Park, Wednesday, August 12, 2020, at 2:00 p.m., 7724 Landers Road, North Little Rock, Ark., 72117. The family would like to welcome everyone to attend the graveside service. Because of the Covid-19 virus, friends and family are asked to wear masks and honor social distancing guidelines.
