“The Honeymooners” (Sunday, Aug. 9, Me TV):

If it seems this sitcom had more than 39 episodes, it didn’t – and the episode “A Man’s Pride” marked the end of the weekly misadventures of Ralph Kramden and Ed Norton, played (of course) by Jackie Gleason and Art Carney. The story revolves around Ralph’s efforts to impress one of wife Alice’s (Audrey Meadows) ex-boyfriends by claiming he has a “slightly” different job: bus-company owner, rather than bus driver.

“The Exorcist” (streaming, HBO Max):

“The devil made me do it” rarely has had more meaning than in director William Friedkin’s hair-raising 1973 chiller based on William Peter Blatty’s bestseller. Linda Blair became an immediate sensation as Regan, an actress’ (Ellen Burstyn) daughter possessed by you-know-who. Max von Sydow and Jason Miller play the priests fighting to save her soul, with Lee J. Cobb as a police detective struggling to grasp what’s going on.

“2 Broke Girls” (weekdays, TBS):

Beth Behrs has found another series success with “The Neighborhood,” but she and Kat Dennings still can be seen making merry as “2 Broke Girls.” As waitressing co-workers and roommates, the actresses have a great rapport and consistently hilarious timing, especially when they’re trading sassy insults with their diner boss Han (Matthew Moy). The stamp of creators Michael Patrick King (“Sex and the City”) and Whitney Cummings is very much on the show.

“How to Steal a Million” (Thursday, Aug 13, FXM):

Thanks to Audrey Hepburn and Peter O’Toole, the star power is undeniable in director William Wyler’s delightful 1966 caper set in and filmed in Paris. Hepburn plays the worried daughter of a forger (Hugh Griffith) who enlists an apparent burglar (O’Toole) to help keep her dad out of trouble by stealing a statuette that’s a fake duplicate of a celebrated original. Eli Wallach also stars.
