Sandra was a member of Center Missionary Baptist Church and attended Wilmar Public Schools. Through the years, she shared her talents in many ways. She was a poultry and cattle farmer, enjoyed raising a garden and sharing vegetables with others, babysitting for friends in the community, being a caretaker to those in need, and working as a custodian for Woodlawn Public Schools. Sandra’s hobbies and interests included making beautiful quilts, planting flowers to enjoy, and swimming in her pool with family and friends. And, who could forget that she loved finding bargains at rummage sales.

Sandra loved life. She especially loved her family and was a proud and devoted Mamaw to her grandchildren. Survivors include a daughter, Heather Paige Parker of Rowell; two granddaughters, Lexy Nicole Mays and Alyssa Faye Parker; and a great granddaughter, Aubree Nicole Carrington, all of Rowell; two brothers, Ralph (Lois) Calhoun of Monticello and Jim (Diane) Calhoun of Wilmar; three sisters, Wanda West of Warren, Barbara Beaty (Al) of Monticello, and Judy (Lynn) Tipton of Conway; and a special friend, Shelby Brewster of Warren; and many nieces and nephews.

Sandra had a servant’s heart and was a blessing to others. To know her was to love her. Sandra was a ray of bright sunshine, always laughing and smiling, and she never met a stranger. She was gracious, merciful, and kind. We miss her so much more than words can express, and we will treasure our memories of her forever.
