MARYSVILLE, Wash. — Kathryn Sally “Kathy” Piechocki

-

of Marysville, Wash., went to her eternal resting place on August 20, 2020, after a decades-long battle with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia.

Kathy was born to August and Seraphine Pruss of North Little Rock, Ark. She graduated from Mount Saint Mary’s Academy (1978) and started her career as a commercial insurance agent at USF&G Insurance. She later moved to Arlington, Wash., where she ended her insurance career shortly after being diagnosed with cancer. She is proceeded in death by both of her parents, and her brother, John Pruss.

She is survived by her daughter, Christy Piechocki of North Little Rock; her son, William Piechocki of Marysville, Wash.; and two amazing grandchildren, Paul and Valerie Piechocki; husband, Allen Muzzuco; brothers, Floyd Pruss, Tony (Irene) Pruss, Michael (Theresa) Pruss; and two of the best sisters, Marilyn Pruss and Mary Ann Pruss; and many nieces and nephews and bonus sons (William’s friends that adopted her as their bonus mom).

Kathy was a loving mother, sister, daughter, grandmother, friend and wife. She would do anything and everything for anyone. This showed when she moved back to Arkansas to care for her mother in her final years, returning to Washington sporadically for Oncology appointments.

Kathy enjoyed going to the casino and playing bingo, like her mom. She was the biggest Mickey Mouse collector. If it was Mickey Mouse, she had to have it. She even visited all six Disney World parks. However, none of that compared to her love for her grandchildren, who love and adore her. She loved laughing and creating memories. There was never a dull moment when she was around. If she wasn’t cutting up with somebody, she was unintentionally doing something silly. To know her, was to love her, and she will be terribly missed by all who loved her. She knew, no matter what happened, it was in God’s hands.

Kathy instilled her same values into her children. She taught them the importance of treating everyone the way you want them to treat you, but more importantly, she taught them to be strong and have faith in God.

Rosary will be at 10:30 a.m. and Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., Saturday, October 3, 2020, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. There will be no graveside service, as she has been cremated and awaiting a niche in the columbarium. In honor of Kathy’s love for Mickey Mouse, we ask that you wear something Mickey, or black and red, or one of her favorite colors, peach/orange or green.
