Broker earns top designation

-

BATESVILLE — Crye-Leike Real Estate Services has announced that principal broker Lackey Moody recently earned the Certified Residential Specialist designation from the Residential Real Estate Council.

Moody is the principal broker and owner of the Crye-Leike franchise, Crye*Leike Batesville Real Estate Center.

The CRS designation is the highest credential awarded to residential sales agents, managers and brokers.

On average, CRS designees earn nearly three times more in income, transactions and gross sales than nondesignee Realtors. Realtors who hold the CRS designation have more experience and training than the average Realtors and are part of a community dedicated to improving the real estate industry for home buyers and sellers across the nation.

Moody said earning the CRS designation has been on his career bucket list for quite some time.

When COVID-19 initially slowed down the industry in the spring months, Moody encouraged his agents to expand their real estate knowledge during their downtime and did the same himself.

“As a principal broker, it is important to lead by example,” Moody said. “When I asked my agents to continue their real estate education, I ended up having a new agent finish their license, two agents studying for their broker’s test and one agent take on a mentoring program. Their hard work motivated me to reach my goal of earning the CRS, which I’ve wanted to do for about 10 years. It is always important, as an agent, to complete our circles.”

Moody has been a member of the real estate industry for 27 years and earned the Graduate, Realtor Institute designation earlier in his career.

He was also voted 2020 Realtor of the Year by the Batesville Board of Realtors and currently serves as president for the board.
