POWER RANKINGS
1. Oregon (2-0): The Pac-12 is off to a late start but the Ducks are the only Power 5 team averaging over 250 yards passing and 250 yards rushing this season.
2. USC (2-0): The Trojans are sloppy but exciting. Can Clay Helton’s staff take advantage of facing a third consecutive opponent (Utah) playing its first game of the season?
3. Colorado (2-0): Karl Dorrell is the early leader for Pac-12 coach of the year. The Buffaloes’ momentum has only been slowed by the ASU game cancellation.
4. Arizona State (0-1): The Sun Devils are dealing with serious COVID-19 issues, including Herm Edwards, 66, testing positive.
5. Washington (1-0): The Huskies defense held Oregon State scoreless in second half of program’s first game in 329 days.
6. Utah (0-0): The Utes are keeping their fingers crossed for negative tests so they can try to win 13th consecutive home opener.
7. UCLA (1-1): Who says Chip Kelly isn’t good on Sundays? Bruins dominated Cal in impressive bounce-back performance.
8. Washington State (1-1): Nick Rolovich and Co. couldn’t take advantage of three first-half turnovers vs. Oregon on the Palouse.
9. Cal (0-1): The Bears’ long hibernation ended with a rude awakening at UCLA in crossover game that wasn’t previously on the schedule.
10. Oregon State (0-2): Inept Pac-12 chain gang didn’t do the Beavers any favors in Seattle.
11. Arizona (0-1): The Wildcats, picked last in the preseason poll, nearly pulled off the upset of South favorite USC.
12. Stanford (0-2): Hopefully Davis Mills can finally get some practice reps in and help David Shaw get out of this mess.
