New Eagle Scouts

William Strickland, 18, is the son of Julia and Reese Strickland of Little Rock. He is a member of Troop 29 in Little Rock at Christ the King Catholic Church. Strickland led a group of people to redeck a bridge at Ferncliff. The old boards were rotting away, so they replaced them with new ones.

Caleb Stortroen, 18, is the son of Jennie and Greg Churan and Nate and Jean Stortroen of Little Rock. He is a member of Troop 12 in Little Rock at Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church. He partnered with Little Rock Animal Village to enhance outdoor landscapin­g with designing and building a raised flower bed filled with seasonal flowers to encase the front wall of the building.

Joshua Taylor, 18, is the son of Dan and Sharon Taylor of Cabot. He is a member of Troop 23 in Cabot at Cabot United Methodist Church. Taylor built an outdoor gathering place for the United Methodist Church, including a fire pit for the use of the youth groups and other community meetings. United Methodist Church.

He led a group of parents and scouts in creating a low-cost campground at Lake Nixon.

Josh Diaz, 15, is the son of Drs. Edwin and Kristi Diaz of Little Rock. He is a member of Troop 12 in Little Rock at Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church.

He installed rogue trail blockers on the West Summit Trail at Pinnacle Mountain.

London Isaiah McHenry, 16, is the son of Laura Sims of Little Rock. He is a member of Troop 467 in Little Rock at St. Mark Baptist Church.

He redid flower beds and planted perennial flowers, which added beautifica­tion to a small community church. London would not have earned the rank of Eagle Scout without the support of his grandmothe­r, Duchess.

Aaron Humphrey, 15, is the son of Joel and Sharon Humphrey of Hot Springs. He is a member of Troop 1 in Hot Springs and First Presbyteri­an Church.

He and his team installed 741 metal trail marking signs on approximat­ely 11 miles of hiking trails on Hot Springs and North Mountains in the Hot Springs National Park. His completed project involved a team of 40 individual­s who worked a combined 266.8 hours.
