CORA NADINE LONG, of Little

Rock, Ark., passed away on Friday, December 4, 2020. She was born March 7, 1933, in Wister, Le Flore County, Okla., to Thomas Jefferson Brown and Cora Lee Garvin Brown.

She was the 2nd great-granddaugh­ter of Chief of the Choctaw Nation in 1882, Jackson Frazier McCurtain.

She married Harold Scott Long on March 16, 1957, at South Highland Church of Christ in Little Rock, Ark. She was a homemaker and best mother and grandmothe­r in the world. Family and faith were the most important things in her life. She was a Radiotelep­hone Operator before marriage and a life-long member of the Church of Christ.

She is survived by three children, Larry Scott Long (Bonnie) of Sebring, Fla., Kenneth Long (Emely) of Winston-Salem, N.C., and Thomas Long (Gaye) of Bordeaux, France; sister, Ellen Smith of Paragould, Ark.; brothers, Kenneth Brown of Rochelle, Illinois, and Rondle Brown (Ruby) of Skiatook, Okla.; three grandchild­ren, Rebecca Huey (Danny) of Cabot, Ark., Nathaniel Long of North Little Rock, Ark., and Nat Long (Aspen) of Maumelle, Ark.; and three great-grandchild­ren Morgan, Audrey, and Adam Huey of Cabot, Ark.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 52 years, Harold Scott Long; brothers, Arnold Brown, Doyle Brown, and Delbert Brown; and sister, Opal Goggins.

A service will be held 11 a.m., Friday, December 11, 2020, at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander, Ark.
