JUNE DUDNEY RUNYAN RIDDICK,

91, was born in Little Rock, Ark., on October 19, 1929, and died on December 6, 2020. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Kader Riddick, Jr., the love of her life, who died on December 10, 1997.

Her parents were, Joseph Thurston Runyan and Maxie Sterling Stone Runyan. June is survived by her three children, Cinde Leigh Bauer, Dr. Frank Michael Bauer III, and Edgar Kader Riddick III and his wife Lisa Curtis Riddick; three grandchild­ren, Dr. Thurston Matthew Bauer and his wife Hannah Hodges Bauer, Edgar Kader Riddick IV, and Rebecca McCrea Riddick. In addition, she also has five great-grandchild­ren, Maddox Emerson Bauer, Tucker Grey Bauer, Zoe Madison Bauer, Remmington Maverick Bauer and Finn Wylder Bauer.

June attended Randolph-Macon College where she was a member of the Pi Beta Phi sorority and Phi Beta Kappa, graduating with honors in 1950 with a major in Mathematic­s and a minor in Music. Throughout her life, she loved playing the piano, dogs, especially Dalmatians, poetry, literature, and all aspects of nature, especially gardening. From memory, Mother could recite poetry and play such piano classics as Clair de lune, Malaguena, and the Warsaw Concerto. Our mother lived a long and full life with gratitude, determinat­ion, happiness, and gusto.
