BONNIE JEAN MULLIGAN PAHLS, 85,

of Little Rock, died on Thursday, December 10, 2020. Bonnie was born in Minneapoli­s, Minn., to Fred Mulligan and Anne Elton Mulligan Jones on June 1, 1935 and was raised in Ogden, Utah.

Upon high school graduation, she joined the U.S. Navy and served during the Korean War. While Stationed in San Diego, Calif., she met her husband, Ray Pahls of Covington, Ky., and the two eventually settled in Little Rock, raised a family where she graduated from the Baptist School of Nursing. She worked for years in the intensive care units at Baptist Memorial Hospital, Baptist Health Medical Center, and St. Vincent Infirmary until retirement. Bonnie was well known for her love of family, friends, conversati­on, and her fun loving spirit. An avid golfer, she was a member at the former golf courses Western Hills and Whispering Pines and competed in various golf tournament­s in Little Rock over the years. If weather permitted, she was out playing all year round.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ray Pahls; daughters, Anna and Connie Sue Pahls and brother, Michael Jones. She is survived by two sons, Dr. Wendell Pahls (wife Cheryl), and Tony Pahls (wife Kathy); grandchild­ren, Dr. Grant Pahls (wife Dr. Rachel Pollitzer Pahls), Dr. Taylor Pahls, Samantha Pahls, Abigail Pahls, all of Little Rock, Madalyn Pahls Robinson (husband Cody Robinson) of Covington, La., and sister, Maryanne Decaria (husband Phil) of Ogden, Utah. She also leaves behind three great-grandchild­ren and a host of nieces and nephews.

A private family graveside service will be held on Monday, December 14, 2020, at Riverwood Memorial Gardens in Maumelle. Memorials may be made to Little Rock Catholic High School for Boys or Mount St. Mary Academy in Little Rock, Ark. Online guestbook: www.rollerfune­ralhomes.com/chenal
