PINE BLUFF — Bobby Lee Underwood, 91,

of Pine Bluff and Little Rock, Ark., passed away on December 10, 2020. He was born September 29, 1929, in the Sulphur Springs community in Jefferson County. He is predecease­d by his parents, Robert Newton Underwood and Mittie Underwood, his brother, Jim Underwood and his sister, Jammie Jordan.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Georgia Pauline (Polly) Underwood. Additional survivors include, Thelma Brabston and Don and Betty Green, all of Little Rock, nieces, Mary Hamilton of Huntsville, Suzanne Brabston of Little Rock, Jennifer Green of Sugarland, Texas, Andrea Green of Wilburton, Okla., and nephew, Jay Brabston (Martha) from Baton Rouge, La.

Bob graduated from Watson Chapel High School in 1947. He served in the Army during the Korean War, where he was awarded the Silver Star Medal. He served in the Army a total of 26 years. He worked in constructi­on before becoming the Maintenanc­e Manager for the Pine Bluff School District where he worked until his retirement. He was a member of the Sulphur Springs United Methodist Church where he was active on several committees. The family would like to thank Jenna, Teeara, Amanda, Evitta and many others who assisted in Bob’s care.
