BENTON — Janet Payne Farmin,

90, 0f Benton, (formerly of Heber Springs and White Hall), passed away peacefully on December 11, 2020. She was born June 20, 1930, in Newark, N.J., to Frederick and Janet “Jean” Langenbach­er and was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Jeffrey Farmin.

Janet was a loving and devoted sister, mother, and grandmothe­r. She is survived by her son, Mitchell Farmin (Jerri), of Bryant, her daughter Janet Whitehead of Heber Springs, her granddaugh­ters, Kristen Farmin of North Little Rock, and Katie Farmin of Little Rock. She is also survived by a brother, Frederick “Junior” Langenbach­er (Kathy) of Somerset, N.J., and her nieces and nephews.

Janet raised her children in White Hall and worked as an elementary school teacher for twenty five years in the White Hall School District. After retiring, she moved to Heber Springs, where she enjoyed spending time with many close friends and family, visiting the lake and Sandy Beach. She also enjoyed volunteeri­ng and working at Cleburne County Cares. Janet was a member of Sugarloaf Baptist Church in Heber Springs. She attended Hurricane Lake Baptist Church, after moving to Benton. Janet was a faithful tither and generously donated to many different charities.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., on Tuesday, December 22, 2020, in Cleburne County Memorial Gardens in Heber Springs with Bro. Tony Criswell officiatin­g. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice. Arrangemen­ts are by Olmstead Funeral Home. www.olmstead.cc
