■ Lucia DeClerck, a New Jersey woman who survived a recent bout of covid-19, says she has lived to 105 by following a simple ritual of eating nine gin-soaked raisins every morning for most of her life, explaining: “Fill a jar. Nine raisins a day after it sits for nine days.”
■ Kalee Wich, 22, of Benton, La., accused of shooting and wounding her 56-yearold father, Burt Wich, a veteran Bossier Parish sheriff’s deputy, at his home, was charged with attempted first-degree murder, investigators said.
■ Prince Philip, the 99-year-old husband of Queen Elizabeth II, is “comfortable and responding to treatment” after spending the past week in a London hospital where he is being treated for an infection, Buckingham Palace said.
■ Heather Nesler, 32, of St. Charles, Mo., who was arrested on outstanding warrants during a traffic stop, persuaded a state trooper to loosen her handcuffs, slipped out of the cuffs and sped off in the patrol car, was later found hiding in a trash can in O’Fallon and rearrested, police said.

■ Simon Bowes-Lyon, 34, the earl of Strathmore and a cousin of Queen Elizabeth II, was sentenced to 10 months in prison after pleading guilty to sexually assaulting a woman at his ancestral castle in Scotland and said he was “greatly ashamed” of his actions.
■ Clinton Stewart, 43, of Douglas, Ga., who in a voicemail to a Michigan judge claimed that “activist judges” were favoring Democrat Joe Biden, was charged with threatening that judge who had ruled in September that absentee ballots postmarked by Nov. 2 could be counted in the general election, prosecutors said.
■ Saprell Frazier, 43, a Florida woman accused of setting fire to 10 garbage trucks outside the Pompano Beach solid-waste business where she worked, was charged with arson and other counts, sheriff ’s deputies said.
■ Brandon Soules, 19, of Coolidge, Ariz., accused of faking his own kidnapping, including binding his wrists, gagging himself and inventing a story of treasure hidden in the desert to cover for missing a day of work at a tire shop, was charged with making a false police report, officials said.
