FAYETTEVILLE — The University of Arkansas men’s basketball team’s home game against Texas A&M is back on.

It’s just scheduled to be played now a month later than expected.

Texas A&M will play No. 20 Arkansas on March 6 at Walton Arena, the SEC and schools announced on Thursday. Tipoff time and television broadcast information will be released later.

The game is a makeup of the postponed Arkansas-Texas A&M game originally scheduled to be played at Walton Arena on Feb. 6.

Texas A&M (8-7, 2-6) has postponed eight consecutive SEC games. Seven of the postponements were because of positive covid-19 tests, contact tracing and quarantining within the Texas A&M program. One postponement was due to wintry weather in Texas.

March 6 was a date set aside by the SEC to make up games which had been postponed.

Arkansas’ game at Texas A&M originally scheduled for Feb. 20 apparently will not be made up.

All tickets from the Arkansas-Texas A&M game originally scheduled for Feb. 6 will be honored for the March 6 game, according to a UA news release.

The Razorbacks (18-5, 9-4 SEC) have three remaining regular-season games scheduled against LSU on Saturday at Walton Arena and at South Carolina on Tuesday night before playing Texas A&M.

The Aggies (8-7, 2-6) will go the entire month of February without playing a game.

Texas A&M hasn’t played since Jan. 30 when it beat Kansas State 68-61 in the Big 12/SEC Challenge. The Aggies’ next scheduled game is Wednesday night against Mississippi State in College Station, Texas.
