84, of Little Rock, passed away Friday, March 26, 2021.

He was born August 1st, 1936 to parents Frances and Acey Holt.

As a boy, he sharecropp­ed with his family and attended the Arkansas School of the Deaf. He went on to learn upholstery, coach the national champion LRAD women’s basketball team, softball teams, and home court with the grandkids.

Acey began his own successful business in 1973, Acey’s Upholstery & Top Shop, which is carried on by his sons Tim and Terry.

Acey was a patriarch of the Arkansas Deaf Community and at large. He served many officer positions with several Deaf organizati­ons especially with the Little Rock Associatio­n of the Deaf. Acey touched countless lives with his selflessne­ss and generosity.

Acey was an avid camper and boater, loving father, grandfathe­r, and great-grandfathe­r, filled with sharp wit and humor.

Acey is preceded in death by daughter Bonnie Jean Holt, mother, father, brothers Pete, Eldro, Monroe, Bill; and sisters Dora, Ellen, and Cody.

Acey is survived by his significan­t other of 33 years, Judy Courtright; sons Tim (Tami) Holt, Terry (Pam) Holt, and daughter Brenna (Ron) Jordan. Son JR (Cheri) Courtright and daughter Jessica (John) McMahon. Granddaugh­ters Lacey, Dakota, Autumn, Marissa, Mykanna, Daya, Addison and great-granddaugh­ter Haven Holt. Grandsons Dax and Maverick, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

The impact Acey had on those around him is infinite. He is forever loved by his family and friends.
