WANDA LEE RITCHEY, 82,

of Sherwood, passed away peacefully March 19, 2021, surrounded by her family.

She was born June 3, 1938, in Pilot Grove, Mo., to the late Rudolph and Rosaline Young, and was one of eight children. She and her family lived all the way from California to Washington, D.C., ultimately settling down in Sherwood, Ark., where their kids lived. Upon retirement from the federal government, Wanda became an active member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and worked as a volunteer at Springhill Baptist Health.

Survivors include four children: Teresa (Steve) Jamell of Marietta, Ga., Lewis (Karen) Ritchey of Little Rock, Ark., Brian (Paula) Ritchey of Higden, Ark., and Shawn (Justyna) Ritchey of Fort Worth, Texas; seven grandchild­ren: Josh (Reagan) Jamell of Marietta, Ga.; Benjamin Ritchey of Greenbrier, Ark.; Kate Ritchey of Murrells Inlet, S.C., Hope Ritchey of Little Rock, Ark., Alex Ritchey of Fayettevil­le, Ark., Natalie and Nicholas Ritchey of Fort Worth, Texas; great-grandchild­ren: Miles and June Jamell of Marietta, Ga.; four siblings, Mary (Doug) Sizemore of Surprise, Ariz., Luke Young of Kansas City, Mo., Lou (Jerry) Gerling of Pilot Grove, Mo., and Carolyn (Garry) Trachsel of Goodyear, Ariz.

Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, Billie Gene Ritchey; parents: Rudolph and Rosaline Young; siblings: John Young, Bob Young, and Joe Young.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, March 24, 2021, followed by a Rosary at 7 p.m., at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home. Mass will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, March 25, 2021, at St. Patrick Catholic Church.
