John Edward Moore
John Edward Moore, 68, of Little Rock departed this life on April 9, 2021. He was born July 3, 1952, in Pine Bluff to the late Laura Jean and Edward Moore. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Nancy Duke Moore, son John Taylor and wife Laura and their children, Adelyn, Piper, and Lyla Kate; and Nathan Edward Moore, also of Little Rock. He is survived by his much loved brother Jim Handley and wife Veronica, along with many dear family members who will miss him deeply. John was a devoted husband, loving father, and grandfather. He was a wonderful man of faith and enjoyed serving at Fellowship Bible Church, teaching children in the Learning Center, involving himself in community groups and community outreach events, and serving as a friendly face in the café in more recent years.
He truly loved the practice of law, which he began in Mountain Home, at the Osmon and Wilbur Law Firm, for three years. He then joined the law firm in Little Rock of Huckabay, Munson, Rowlett, and Tilley, where he remained for 36 years, became a named partner, and is now known as Munson, Rowlett, Moore and Boone. He defended clients in over 400 jury trials. His work family and clients brought added pleasure and richness into his years, John was on the Little Rock School Board during the ‘90s. He was an avid Razorback fan and loved attending/watching football and basketball games. He enjoyed spending time with his family at home, at sporting events, and on vacations. He loved spending time with his granddaughters, especially bringing donuts and chocolate milk on Saturday mornings. John also enjoyed being outdoors: running, hiking and biking, working in the garden with Nancy, bush hogging the land, taking family and friend vacations, and spending fun time with his dog(s).
John’s celebration of life service will be held at Fellowship Bible Church on Wednesday, April 14, 2021. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m., with the funeral to follow at 2 p.m.
