CARLISLE — Virgil Gann

of Carlisle went to be with Jesus on April 3, 2021. He was born October 31, 1939, to Tyre Gann and Ruby (Hogan) Gann Perkins. He was preceded in death by his dad; mom; and wife of 48 1/2 years, Alpha (Dedman) Gann.

He is survived by five children, Beth (Gann) Lane of Carlisle, Virgil Freddie (Linda) Gann of Judsonia, Michelle (Shane) Spencer of Lonoke, Tony (Nancy) Gann of Carlisle, and Cindy (Danny) Blackburn of Benton; six grandchild­ren, Susan, Donnie, Tyre, Brittany, Amber, Aaron, and Virgil Gann, III; 13 great-grandchild­ren; one great-great-grandson; and so many other family members and lifelong friends that meant the world to him. Virgil was retired from the city of Carlisle after 30+ years and the pastor of Snake Island Community Pentecosta­l Church of God. Virgil loved hunting with his son, Tony, at deer camp and visiting with everyone there. Our family wants to extend a special thanks to everyone at the Lonoke County Co-op and the Carlisle City Shop. He loved everyone of you and enjoyed visiting you guys so much. Even after he got sick, he still wanted to see you guys as often as he could. Much love and prayers for you all for being such a great part of his life, thank you.

Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, April 7, 2021, at Boyd Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 8, 2021, in Hamilton Cemetery.
