The first time I saw my future spouse:

-

She says: “I said to myself, ‘I kind of like him.’”

He says: “I thought, ‘I think I love that woman there.’”

On our wedding day:

She says: “I just kept thinking, ‘Wow, I’m married.’ I had packed up my things and moved to his house, but I had to get that in my mind, that I was married.”

He says: “I thought, ‘I got my sweetheart.’”

My advice for a long happy marriage:

She says: “You’ve got to have Christ in the center of your life and you’ve got to love each other.”

He says: “If you’re going to be married, you must love one another and you must have Christ in your life. If you haven’t been born again, you don’t know how to love one another and you don’t know how to forgive.”
