CARLISLE — Lewis Edwin Underwood,

age 79, gained his angel wings on Tuesday, April 13, 2021. Born January 19, 1942, to the late Robert Odie and Mary Underwood. He is survived in death by his loving wife Elizabeth (Betty) Underwood, his two adoring sons, David (Carolyn) Underwood, and Martin (Carla) Underwood, all of Carlisle. He leaves behind four grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren who absolutely adored every story and lesson that their Papa Lew taught and left behind for them.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 15, 2021, from 6-8 p.m., at Boyd Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Friday, April 16, 2021, 2:00, at Boyd Funeral Home, followed immediately by a Graveside service held at Hamilton Cemetery.
