77, of Mabelvale, passed away Wednesday, April 14, 2021. Verna was born January 12, 1944, in Fordyce, Ark., to Luther and Mary Jane Jarrett. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Tommy Jarrett; and sisters, Carolyn (John) Warren and Helen (Clyde) Williams.

Verna was a member of St. Theresa’s Catholic Church. She loved camping with friends and the Arkansas Razorbacks.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, John Tarnowsky; daughter, Tammy Sledge; son, Mark (Rhonda) Tarnowsky of Mabelvale; three grandchild­ren, Tiffany (Cory Ray) of Shannon Hills, Tara (Jordan Delling) of Benton, and Allie Tarnowsky of Mabelvale; three great-grandchild­ren, Kali and Kyli Ray and Willow Delling; her sisters, Nell (Robert) Williams of Fordyce, Ruby (Roland) Partain of Camden, and Norma (Rodger) Brown of Hot Springs; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday, April 19, 2921, at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 6219 Baseline Road, Little Rock, 72209, with Father Mark Wood as celebrant. Interment will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park. Rosary will be 3:30 p.m.. Sunday at the church, followed by visitation until 5:30 p.m.
