STUTTGART — Jesse Edward Rutherford,

86, of Stuttgart went to be with his Heavenly Father Wednesday, April 21, 2021, at Baptist Health-Stuttgart.

Mr. Rutherford was born Dec. 26, 1934, in Stuttgart to Jesse Marion and Mildred Rutherford. He was a member of Trinity Assembly of God. He had a heart of gold and loved his family with all his heart. He loved his Lord and Savior and witnessed to everyone he met. His livelihood, which he started at the age of 17, was farming. He loved deer hunting with his son-in-law who was like a son, Louis Williams, and his grandsons, Paul and Lee Williams and Marion Rutherford.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Roger Dale and James Rutherford; sister, Lillian Eicher; and son, Ronnie Rutherford.

Survivors are his wife, Wanda, with whom would have celebrated their 65th wedding anniversar­y in July; daughters, Cindy Rutherford of Pine Bluff and Nancy Rutherford Williams (Louis) of Stuttgart; sister, Becky Meier (Carl) of Ulm; four grandchild­ren, Brandy Rutherford Crump (Brandon) of Jonesboro, Marion Rutherford (Ashley) of Jonesboro, Paul Williams (Leighsa) of Cabot, and Lee Williams (Amanda) of Stuttgart; five great-grandchild­ren, Bailer, Bridger and Bryker Crump of Jonesboro, and Ethan and Lindsey Williams of Cabot; daughter-in-law, Patsy Rutherford of Jonesboro; and a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Friday followed by funeral services, officiated by Rev. Don Ashcraft and Rev. Joe Poss, at 11 a.m. at Turpin Funeral Home. Burial will be in Coffield Cemetery.
