ENGLAND — Bobby Leon Roe,

81, was born in England, Ark. to Doris Canada Weaver and Leon Roe on September 16, 1939. He died peacefully at his home on Thursday, May 13, 2021.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church, England where he served as a deacon and a trustee. He farmed for 30 years. After retiring, he worked as a crop insurance adjuster for various companies and for USDA.

He loved his fellow adjusters and stayed in contact with most of them.

He was past president of the England Jaycees, past president of the England Cemetery Associatio­n, and past president of the England Academy School Board. He served on the Arkansas Department of Correction Farm Advisory Board for five years.

He loved life and brought joy and laughter to everyone he met. He especially loved his four grandchild­ren who brought him so much pride and joy. He gratefully lived to see the birth of his first great-grandchild, Trevor Oates.

He is survived by his wife, Anne Stone Roe to whom he was married for 55 years. He is also survived by two daughters, Robyn (Dean) Oates of Jessievill­e and Missy (John) Henderson of England; four grandchild­ren, Alissa (Jacob) Hastings, Dalton (Samantha) Oates, John William Henderson, and Haley Henderson.

The family requests memorials be made to First Baptist Church, 201 East Haywood, England, Ark., 72046.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 15, 2021, at First Baptist Church with visitation one hour prior to the service at 1 p.m. Bro. Toby Havens will be officiatin­g. Burial will follow in Mulberry Cemetery. Online guestbook: www.rollerfune­ralhomes.com/england
