ETHEL — Cynthia Ruth Dupslaff,

-

64, passed away June 12, 2021. She was born May 4, 1957, to Herbert and Jane Hood Dupslaff. Cindy was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jon; and sister-in-law, Mary Beth Bennett Dupslaff. She is survived by a host of family, friends, former students she considered family, and co-workers.

Cindy was a graduate of St. Charles High School and graduated from Ouachita Baptist University with a degree in English. Cindy loved teaching and she loved her kids and treated them like her own. Many students have commented on her passing and their words are balm to our hearts. One young man said she had a sneeze that could register on the Richter scale an when it’s thundering he’s going to think of Ms. Dee having a sneezing fit!

Cindy had many talents, musically with the piano and guitar, needlework, and definitely cooking. Her cakes could make a grown man weep and all other cooks green with envy. She loved to keep in touch with family and friends, even as her health failed. Cindy rarely complained and when you spoke with her, she wanted to know about your life, family, etc!

Cindy moved home to care for her parents and after they passed, dogs became her passion. As most of you know, any abandoned dog was adopted and loved, if we could only hear Jon tell about it! Cindy was deeply loved and will be missed.

Memorials can be made to St. Charles Baptist Church, P.O. Box 241, St. Charles, Ark. 72140 or Passionate Paws, 1025 McAdams Rd. DeWitt, Ark. 72042.
