-

was born on April 14, 1930, in Neshoba County Mississippi, to Henry and Maudie Weatherford. She was married to Edwin L. Love on January 29, 1954.

She graduated from southern Mississippi with a Bachelor’s degree in Home Economics Education. She taught Vocational Home Economics for six years. She also graduated from the Penn State University Food Service program, where she was also employed as an Assistant Food Service Manager. She retired from the University of Arkansas as a Food Service Manager after 27 years of service. She was an integral part of initiating special meals involving many different themes. One theme of special interest to other campuses nationwide was Mardi Gras where K-Paul from New Orleans came with his staff to prepare authentic Cajun cuisine. She obtained notoriety with the National College and University Food Service organization (NCUFS) in the area of self-service and more variety.

Since retirement, she and her husband enjoyed traveling and spending winters in Florida and summers in Virginia. She moved to Charlotte in 2012.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Edwin L. Love. She is survived by her three children, Jeems Love, Patti Steward, and Margaret Bolding, seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Along with loving her husband, children and grandchildren, she loved the Lord deeply. She took great pleasure, peace and solace in studying the Bible and knowing the words within were true and infallible. Today, she is experiencing another chapter in the arms of Jesus!

Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.mcewenminthillchapel.com for the Love family.
