Graveside burial for Sylvester “Sonny” Taylor, of Milwaukee, Wis., will be Saturday, Aug 14, 2021, at 10 a.m., at Mt. Olive MB Church Cemetery, 8523 Princeton Pike, White Hall. Sylvester “Sonny” Taylor was born April 16, 1937, in Pine Bluff, Ark., to the late Jasper Taylor and Sylvia Walls Taylor. He transition­ed to his Heavenly Reward on July 17, 2021.

Sonny confessed a hope in Christ at a early age, at Mt. Nebo Missionary Baptist Church. He was a 1955 graduate of Merrill High School. He attended various training programs in the Milwaukee Area. For many years he worked in various jobs throughout the city of Milwaukee and was self employed.

He was the second oldest of twelve children. Three siblings, Jasper Taylor Jr, Lavern Taylor-Price, and Esther Taylor preceded him in death.

His memory will be cherished by his daughters; Bridgette Wynn of Milwaukee, Wis., and Kristi (Delanza) Carter of Chicago, Illinois. His surviving siblings; four brothers, Sherman Taylor (Georgia) of North Canton, Ohio, Alton Taylor (Vanessa) of Little Rock, Ark., Maurice Taylor (Carmen) of Woodstock, Ga., Cedric Taylor of Pine Bluff, Ark., four sisters, Margaret Taylor-Estis of Los Angeles, Calif., Cynthia Taylor-Whitmore (Kenneth) of Pine Bluff, Ark., Sharon Taylor-Harris of Texarkana, Ark., Stephany Taylor-Toney of White Hall, Ark.; three grandsons, two granddaugh­ters, two great-grandchild­ren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and dear friends.
