86, of North Little Rock, passed away on August 7, 2021. He was born on November 23, 1934 in North Little Rock as one of 12 children to Homer and Josephine Hale.

Jim worked as a machinist for both Missouri Pacific Railroad and Union Pacific Railroad for 42 years. Jim always managed to have a side job as well as his full-time job. One of his favorites was the years of selling real estate with Rainey Realty. He was an avid golfer and could be found many days at various golf courses around central Arkansas. He was a seasonal hunter and enjoyed hunting deer, elk, birds, and big game in Arkansas, Colorado, Nebraska, and Canada’s Northwest Territorie­s. In 1993, Jim was honored to be included in Boon and Crockett’s Record of North American Big Game for a muscott buffalo he harvested in northern Canada. Jim was a jack-of-all-trades, a NASCAR fan, a man of innovation and a great guy to be associated with.

Jim leaves behind his companion of 33 years, Judy Kay Connors of North Little Rock; one son, James Michael (Joyce) Hale of Sherwood; two daughters, Charlotte Elizabeth (Mike) Wallace of Maumelle and Karen Annette (Gary) Jester of Little Rock; two grandchild­ren, Katherine (Jason) Eckard of Cabot, Jonathan (Amber) Wallace of Alexander; and four great-grandchild­ren.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 12 at 9 a.m., with a graveside following at 10 a.m. Services to be held at Pinecrest Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 7401 AR-5 N, Alexander, Ar 72002. Masks will be required, per family’s request.
