AUSTIN — Mrs. Jackie (Hightower)

Hoyle, of Austin, Ark., departed this life on Monday, August 9, 2021, at the age of 76. She was born October 21, 1944, in Newport, Arkansas, and was a 1962 graduate of Newport High School. Mrs. Hoyle owned and operated Bald Eagle Barns of Cabot, following her retirement from Entergy in 1995. She enjoyed reading, gardening, and loved any kind of flowers. Over the years, Mrs. Hoyle owned several antique and tea rooms in Hot Springs and Cabot. She was a very giving person to her family and friends, and absolutely loved helping others.

Mrs. Hoyle was preceded in death by one son, Jerry Douglas Cloud, II; one grandson, Jerry Douglas “Doug” Cloud, III; the father of her children, Jerry Douglas Cloud; and her mother and stepfather, Edith (Davis) and Audley Partee. She is survived by her husband, Samuel Hoyle of Cabot; one daughter, Delores Cloud of Cabot; three stepsons,

Hoyle of Australia, and Matthew Hoyle, wife, Anthea, and son, Henry of Connecticu­t; one brother, Gene Hightower and wife, DaVeene of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; one sister, Sandra Smotherman and husband, Ronnie “Poncho”, of Newport; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and a lifetime of friends.

Visitation is Saturday, beginning at 1 p.m. Funeral services will follow at Jackson’s Newport Funeral Home Chapel at 2 p.m., Saturday, with Mr. Michael Archdeacon officiatin­g. Interment will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Those honored to serve as pallbearer­s are Danny Ray Williams, Luke Miller, Duane Miller, Kenny Davis, Titus Miller, and Ralph Davis. Honorary pallbearer­s are Howard Barbee, Matthew Hoyle, Mark Hoyle, Tim Hoyle, Wayne Davis, and Frank Davis. Arrangemen­ts by Jackson’s Newport Funeral Home.
