HUMNOKE — Joy Rae Rockwell,

83, of Humnoke, Ark., went home to be with Jesus August 9, 2021.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 66 years, Garland (Bokas) Rockwell and her children, Rhonda Crawford of Lonoke, Reggie Rockwell of Humnoke, Becky (Steve) Ball of Carlisle, and René Rockwell of Lonoke. Joy loved her God and her family. She loved to hunt, fish, and play Pitch. She was never happier than surrounded by her children, grandchild­ren, great-grandchild­ren and great-great-grandchild­ren. During her career, Joy worked in the Parts Department of Dean-Henderson Equipment Company; she retired from the United States Postal Service after 20 years of service.

Joy was born June 26, 1938, on Knuckles Farm in Keo, to Loey and Maudie (Griffin) Tumbleson. She and her twin sister, Floy were the fifth and sixth child of 11 surviving children. Along with her parents, preceding her in death are her brothers, Dillard and Clifford Tumbleson, her sisters, Lola Faye Brown and Joan Bell. Surviving siblings include Noma Brown, Floy Shepherd, Donna Carter, Roger (CJ) and Martin (Bonnie) Tumbleson and Ollie Pruett.

Joy is also survived by her grandchild­ren, Brandon (Nicole) Crawford of Humnoke; Joshua Crawford of Louisiana; Leigh Hildebrand of Washington, DC; Chance (Bethany) Hildebrand of Geridge; Slade (Alex) Hildebrand of Stuttgart; Ragan (Shawn) Bourdo of Little Rock; Casey (Charlie) Lamb of California, and Jennifer (Jeremy) Staton of Carlisle. Joy had 13 great-grandchild­ren and six great-great-grandchild­ren.

Graveside services will be Thursday, August 12, 2021, at 10 a.m., at Flynn Cemetery in Humnoke. Roller England Funeral Home, 501-842-3939, will be handling that service. Memorials may be made to Rowes Chapel Baptist Church in Humnoke, Arkansas. Online guestbook: www.rollerfune­ralhomes.com/england
