HEBER SPRINGS — Elizabeth Ann Jackson,

the daughter of Reinholdt A Schleiger and Grace T. Mohnike Schleiger was born in Hastings, Nebraska, on August 15, 1933, and passed away at her home on August 8, 2021, at the age of 87 years. She spent two years at Nebraska Wesleyan University where she was a member of Nebraska Wesleyan Touring Choir. She married Jerry Jackson on September 5, 1953, and they raised four children in Kansas City, Missouri. She and Jerry moved to Heber Springs from New York City in 1986. She was active in numerous organizati­ons in Heber Springs. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Heber Springs, member of the advisory board of Baptist Memorial Hospital in Heber Springs, Cleburne County Republican Women, charter member of Eden Song Chorale, book department of Cleburne County Cares, Auxillary of Baptist Memorial Hospital, two terms as president of Cleburne County Republican Party and Treasurer of state Republican Womens Party. She enjoyed gardening, reading, golf and made a hole in one at Highlands Ranch Golf Course in Colorado.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Reinholdt and Grace Schleiger three brothers, Jerry Schleiger, Rex Schleiger and David Schleiger, a sister, Audrey Fuller. Survivors are her husband, Jerry Jackson, three sons, Greg Jackson and wife Theresa of Castle Rock, Colorado, Mark Jackson and wife Kathy of Merriam, Kansas, Matt Jackson and wife E.B. of Topeka, Kansas, daughter, Amy Elliott and husband Rick of Frisco, Texas, 12 grandchild­ren, nine great-grandchild­ren. She was loved by family, friends, neighbors throughout Heber Springs and the United States.

A graveside funeral service will be on Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at 5 p.m., at the Heber Springs Cemetery.
