PAUL “BOB” FRANK MCMANUS,

age 85, of Little Rock, Ark., passed away on Saturday, August 7, 2021. Paul was born December 8, 1935, in Moorestown, NJ to Paul and Lillian McManus.

Paul is preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 59 years, Millie Lannie McManus; his sisters, Louise Yon and Patsy McManus; his in-laws, Joseph and Mary Lannie; his sister-in law, Wanda Lannie; his brothersin-law, Matthew “Sonny” Lannie, Reuben Yon, James Harris, and Ernest Miller.

Paul is survived by his children, Mike (Gail) McManus of Dillon, Colo., and Vicki (Wally) Anger of Little Rock, Ark.; grandchild­ren, Chelsie McManus, Chase (Claudia) McManus, Kristen (Cody) Enlow, Austin Anger; great-grandchild­ren, Clark McManus and Corbin McManus; sister, Kate Harris; sister-in-law, Anita Miller; lifelong friends, Pete and Millie Lawless; and the most special friend, Lisa Kuykendall; and numerous nieces and nephews; and his godchildre­n. He also leaves behind his dog, Tori; and cat Thomas.

Paul served in the US Air Force as a military police officer from 1953 to 1957. It was his time in the service when he met the love of his life Millie.

Paul worked at Jacuzzi Bros. for 36 years as traffic/distributi­on manager and retired in 2000. After a brief retirement, Paul began a new career at Kroger as a cashier and unofficial greeter known as “Mr. Paul” for over 15 years. It was at Kroger he was awarded the presidenti­al award twice for customer service. Paul never met a stranger.

Paul graduated from Arkansas State Teachers College in Conway, Ark., which is now the University of Central Arkansas, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business in 1962. While in school, he worked as a milkman delivering milk in the early hours to homes in and around Little Rock neighborho­ods. He also worked as a billing clerk at Strickland Transporta­tion and Campbell “66” Express.

Paul was a member of the Boy Scouts of America Order of the Arrow. He also served on multiple Eagle Scout Board of Reviews. Paul was a Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus. He also served as the Holy Souls Church Men’s Club treasurer for many years.

Paul loved his family the most. Paul enjoyed gardening, canning and pasta making. He loved to play golf, go boating, camping and was an avid Razorback fan. He also enjoyed traveling and having dates with Lisa who brought so much joy and happiness to his life after his wife died.

Paul was the king of joke telling. He loved to travel, especially to his happy place at the beach. Paul loved his animals.

Paul loved his church, Holy Souls, where he was a member since 1964.

Memorials may be made to Our Lady Souls Church and Arkansas Hospice at CHI St. Vincent Infirmary.

Visitation and Rosary service for Paul will be held Friday, August 13, 2021, beginning at 6 p.m., at Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth, 5800 West 12th Street. Mr. McManus’ funeral mass will be heled at Holy Souls on Saturday, August 14th at 10 a.m.
