Five people die on state roads

Three people died in a headon collision Saturday afternoon on U.S. 63 in rural Bradley County, according to an Arkansas State Police report.

Britnee Hampton, 27, of Warren and an unnamed minor were killed at about 1:40 p.m. when the 2008 Pontiac Torrent they were in crossed the centerline and hit a southbound 2015 Mercedes, the report said. Karla Herrera, 37, of Warren, the driver of the Mercedes, also died in the crash, the report said.

Three unnamed minors in the Pontiac, which was driven by Hampton, were injured in the crash, according to the report.

Conditions at the time of the crash were clear and dry, the report said.

A Blythevill­e man died when he was struck by a vehicle early

Saturday morning on Arkansas 18 in Mississipp­i County, according to another state police report.

Clinton E. Foster, 33, died when he was struck by a 2008 Honda Civic as he bicycled westbound along the highway at around 6:50 a.m., the report said. He and another cyclist had moved over for a passing truck but, once the truck passed, Foster was hit by the Honda, according to the report. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Dewayne Cash, 49, of Gosnell, the other cyclist, was injured when he crashed his bicycle, the report said.

Conditions at the time of the crash were clear and dry, according to the report.

A 41-year-old woman was killed late Saturday night when she attempted to cross an Interstate 440 exit ramp on foot and was struck by two vehicles, according to a state police report.

Kristal L. Cruz of Fort Campbell, Ky., was walking on the I-440 eastbound off ramp to Fourche Dam at around 10:44 p.m. when she attempted to cross the ramp and was struck by a 2003 Mercedes-Benz and a 2021 Honda Kona, the report said.

She was pronounced dead at the scene, the report said.

Conditions at the time were clear and dry, according to the report.
