71, of Gurdon, Ark., went to Heaven on August 15, 2021. He was born August 19, 1949, in Vaden, Ark., to John Robert and Gertie Hammonds McClure.

He worked at Internatio­nal Paper for 23 years, and was proudly employed with Jordan’s Kwik Stop for 18 years. A.B. was a member of First Assembly of God in Arkadelphi­a, where he served as Deacon. And he was a founding member of Hope Alive Church in central Arkansas. He was a model Husband, the best Dad anyone could ever ask for, and cherished spending time with his kids and grandkids. He loved The Lord Jesus and was faithful to God, The Church and in giving. A real people person, he enjoyed life, was a ton of fun and a genuine, generous man. He loved his dogs, (baby girls) Snickers and Skittles. He enjoyed old cars, and collecting quarters and hammers.

A.B. was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Delmus McClure and Billy McClure; and three sisters, Beatrice McClure, Lavelle Easley, and Mary Helen Gordon. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, the love of his life, Nancey McClure; four sons, Jackie McClure and wife Brooke of Harrisburg, Ark., Jamie McClure and wife Heather of Jonesboro, Ark., Andy McClure and wife Buddie of Wynne, Ark., and Aaron McClure and wife Rhonda of Alexander, Ark.; five grandchild­ren, Kristen Emison and husband Jared of Conway, Ark., Daniel McClure of Jonesboro, Ark., Jordan McClure of Harrisburg, Ark., Timothy McClure of Jonesboro, Ark., and Anthony McClure of Wynne, Ark.; ten step-grandchild­ren, Sidney McDaniel of Wynne, Ark., Dalton McDaniel of West Plains, Mo., Lexie King, Emma King, Caylee Laroe, Dallas Hay and Able Hay, all of Jonesboro, Ark., Brandon and Bryan Fink of Ward, Ark., Nathan Atilano of Cabot, Ark.; six great-grandchild­ren and one step-great-grandson; one brother, John Wayne McClure of Gurdon, Ark.; one special (like a son) friend, Matt Cronin of Harrisburg, Ark.; a host of nieces, nephews, wonderful friends and family in The Lord.

Celebratio­n of Life and Home Going service will be Thursday, August 19, 2021, 2 p.m., at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home, 517 Clay St, Arkadelphi­a, Ark., 71923. Happy Birthday Dad. Officiatin­g will be Rev. Dan Parker, Rev. Nathan Rogers and Rev. Aaron McClure. Graveside service will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Gurdon, Ark. Pallbearer­s will be Josh McClure, Billy Wayne McClure, Jared Emison, Matt Cronin, Charles Riley, and Charles Smith. Honorary Pallbearer­s are John Wayne McClure and Neal Hartwick. The family welcomes friends for visitation from 4-6 p.m., on Wednesday, August 18, 2021. “The righteous man walks in his integrity; His children are blessed after him.” Proverbs 20:7.
