James Coy Langley

James Coy Langley, age 87, of Pine Bluff, passed away Friday, September 17, 2021 in Fort Worth, Texas. He had been a resident of Granbury, Texas, during the past year.

Born February 28, 1934 at Dalark, Ark., he was a son of the late Coy Franklin Langley and Daisy Mae Greene Langley.

Mr. Langley was a graduate of Henderson State Teachers College and served in the United States Army.

He married Nina Hawthorn Langley on August 26, 1956, and they moved to Pine Bluff in 1958. Mr. Langley taught English and typing in the Pine Bluff School District for 28 years prior to his retirement.

He was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church of Pine Bluff, where he sang in the choir for many years.

In addition to his parents, he was predecease­d by his wife, Nina, on November 21, 2019; a brother, John Calvin “J. C.” Langley; and a sister, Hettie Mae Langley Baker Orrick.

Survivors include two sons, Randall Langley (Kristen Gatlin) and Lealdon Langley (Robin Katz); four grandchild­ren, Andrew Chase Langley, Ryan Langley, Aaron Langley, and Melissa Langley; four step-grandchild­ren, Britan Gatlin, Tobin Gatlin, Max Sussman, and Rachel Sussman; four great-grandchild­ren, Weston Langley, Aiden Hamill, Magnolia Langley, and Maverick Langley; along with many other loving family and friends.

Graveside services will be Friday, September 24, 2021, 11 a.m. in Memorial Gardens at Hot Springs with Rev. Mike Morey officiatin­g. Arrangemen­ts are by Fuller HaleSouth Funeral Services of Pine Bluff.

All COVID-19 guidelines will be strictly observed.
