Blood drive slated for Argenta Plaza
The Arkansas Blood Institute will host a community blood drive in Argenta Plaza from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday.
Those interested can find the “bloodmobile” parked out in front of the plaza and will be given a free T-shirt and covid-19 antibody test for donating blood.
Arkansas Blood Institute encourages those interested in donating blood to schedule an appointment beforehand online.
Rental assistance begins in county
Rental assistance for Pulaski County residents and landlords began Monday through the Arkansas Rent Relief Program.
The program, funded through $173 million in federal money, offers financial help to people affected by the covid-19 pandemic.
The Pulaski County Renters Relief Program will no longer take new applications. Anyone looking for rental assistance can apply through the Arkansas Rent Relief Program.
North Shore Park gets new sidewalk
North Shore Park has a new sidewalk.
The sidewalk off of Saunders Road near Lynch Drive is one-third of a mile long and 5½ feet wide.
The sidewalk, built by Cinergi Contractions, also has an Americans with Disabilities Act approved ramp.
