DONALD WAYNE DUTY

-

passed from this life on November 11, 2021. The fact that this was also Veteran’s Day is noteworthy because Wayne served 21 years as a machinist in the United States Air Force. He retired as a Master Sergeant in 1982. Wayne was honored to serve and requested that this be recognized as part of his going home celebration. Following his military retirement, Pulaski Technical College recruited him to be an instructor of machining and CNC. He taught there for 22 years. Born to Hancel B. and Geneva Duty in Cleburne, Texas on October 17, 1943, Wayne was preceded in death by both parents; his siblings, Larry and Jerry; his son, Robert Duty; his stepson, Darryll Huddleston and granddaughter, Lacey. His surviving family includes his spouse, Rose Mary Duty; son, Douglas Wayne Duty (spouse Robyn) of Jacksonville, Ark.; daughter Joanne DeWalle of Tumbling Shoals, Ark.; the two sons he gained by his marriage to Rose Mary, D’Wayne Huddleston and Kelby Crame; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. The visitation will be Monday, November 15, 2021 at noon. The service will follow at 1:00 p.m., at the First Pentecostal Church of North Little Rock. Immediately following the service, the graveside service (with military honors) will be held at Rest Hills Memorial Park in North Little Rock.
