WILLIAM LEO DARNELL, JR.,

87, of Little Rock, beloved father, grandfathe­r, and great-grandfathe­r passed away November 6, 2021. Born in Nashville, Tenn., to the late William Leo and Sara Bennett Darnell, he was a charter member of St. James United Methodist Church, and co-owner, along with his brother Wirt, of Darnell Drug Company. He was a respected member of the pharmacy community for over 60 years.

He was preceded in death by his cherished wife of 61 years, Roxanna Darnell; and granddaugh­ter, Lauren Darnell. He is survived by his brother, Wirt Darnell of Springfiel­d, Mo., his son, Bob Darnell (Glynda) of Southlake, Texas; his daughter, Suzanne Koesy (Paul) of Little Rock; and his daughter, Kathy Mitchell (Tom) of Colleyvill­e, Texas; and his grandchild­ren, Rob Darnell, Kelly Darnell, Will Morrow, Katy Morrow, Emily Smith (Mitchell); and Matthew Mitchell.

Visitation is Saturday, November 13, from 3-5 p.m. at Ruebel Funeral Home, 6313 West Markham St., Little Rock 72205. A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 15, at 11 a.m., officiated by Terry Moore, Jr. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park in Alexander.
