ASHDOWN — Laura Anna Austin,

53, of Ashdown, Ark., passed away Monday, November 8, 2021, at her home. She was born July 13, 1968, in Ashdown, to the late Willie Austin and Ella Mae Britt. Mrs. Austin attended Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Ashdown. She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Milton Perry and Earnest Perry. Survivors include three brothers and two sisters-in-law, David and Ann Ellis of Little Rock, Ark., Kirby and Marcia Austin of Ashdown, and Cornelius Austin of Texarkana, three sisters, Altha Britt of Little Rock, Ark., Viola Marie Britt of Killeen, Texas, and Marjorie Austin Nutt of Killeen, Texas,, one sister-in-law, Geneva and Phillip Walton of Nashville, Ark., a special niece, Rosalind Britt of Atlanta, Ga., and a best friend, Royal French.

A graveside service will be Saturday, November 13, 2021, at 11 at St. Luke Cemetery in Ashdown with Rev. Eric Nelson officiating. A lay in state will be Friday, November 12, 2021, from 4–6, at Madden Funeral Home in Ashdown.
